October 27, 2005 Judicial Council of the United Methodist Church to hear oral arguments in the case.

Announcement: Judicial Council to hear Stroud case

May 3, 2005 Beth declines appointment and asks to be put on "voluntary leave of absence" from her Annual Conference membership.  She continues serving as an active staff member at First United Methodist Church of Germantown (FUMCOG).
May 3, 2005 Bishop Matthews returns Beth's credentials, offers her an appointment to First United Methodist Church of Germantown (FUMCOG), and announces his decision to appeal the case to the Judicial Council.

April 28-29, 2005 Hearing by the Northeast Jurisdictional Committee on Appeals

Result: Committee on Appeals sets aside December 2, 2004 verdict and penalty

December 27, 2004 Beth announces her decision to appeal
December 7, 2004 FUMCOG staff-parish relations committee re-hires Beth to the same position, title, and equivalent compensation.

September 9, 2004 Bishop Yeakel remands case back to Committee on Investigation

Announcement: Committee on Investigation to proceed
from First United Methodist Church of Germantown (FUMCOG)'s May 30, 2004 church newsletter

Result: Committee on Investigation vote to go to trial

March 31, 2004 Bishop Peter Weaver initiates the judicial complaint process

This occured after nearly a year in the supervisory response phase which included several face-to-face meetings with Rev. Beth Stroud.  Bishop Weaver filed the initial complaint shortly after Beth's "coming out" sermon.
