Since Beth has asked for folks to show their support during the appeal hearing by being in prayer for the church, within your own community, we've created this listing of the vigils that we are aware of at this time...

- First United Methodist Church of Germantown (FUMCOG) in Philadelphia: Prayer on April 28th in Turner Chapel
- Arch Street UMC in Philadelphia: Planning a prayer vigil on the Eve (7pm, April 27) and on the morning of her Hearing (9am-noon, April 28).
- Cambridge Welcoming Ministries in Massachusetts: Prayer service (date and time TBA)
- SoulForce Philadelphia: Will be on the way to Colorado Springs for the Dobson actions and will act individually. They will have a prayer group once they arrive.
- Broadway UMC in Chicago: April special focal point for prayer will be on Beth
- Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL: Sacred Worth, a student group at the Seminary, will lead a vigil service the morning of April 28.
- Chicago Theological Seminary in Chicago: Vigil service the morning of April 28
- First United Methodist Church of Oneonta, New York: Vigil on April 28th from 8am to 6pm with corporate worship at 7pm
- Foundry UMC in Washington DC: Community meal (530pm) and worship (7pm) on April 27 with special guest, Troy Plummer, from Reconciling Ministries Network
- Foundry UMC in Washington DC: Prayer vigil from 730pm April 27 through 630pm April 29; Gathering for prayer at 12:30 pm on April 27 and 28
- University Park UMC, Portland, Oregon: Prayer Service on Wednesday, April 27 (simple meal (potluck) at 6:30 pm; prayer service at 7:15 pm).
- Park Slope UMC in Brooklyn, NY: Evening of prayer on Wednesday, April 27, 2005 (7:30pm weekly meditation and prayer service, followed by a time of focused prayer and affirmation of our faith and community)
- Church of St. Paul & St. Andrew in Manhatten (NYC), NY: Prayer vigil on the eve of the appeal (Wednesday, April 27, 7:15). At 8 pm some will go across town to join the vigil at Lexington Ave UMC.
- MFSA Metro NYC, meeting at Lexington UMC: Prayer service (7pm-930pm) and signup for prayer vigil though the appeal hearing. April 27.
- Capitol Manor Community Center in Salem, OR: Prayer vigil at 7 pm on Wednesday, April 27
- Reconciling Task Force of Western PA: Prayer vigil (9am-Noon) and Press Conference (10am) on April 28, with the author of the UMC's national slogan "Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors," Rev. Larry Homitsky. (Contact Renee Waun at revmom+@pitt.edu for details)
- Lafayette Park UMC in St. Louis, MO: Prayer service at 7:00 on April 27th. The sanctuary will be open for prayer during the appeal process on Thursday.
- Corvallis First UMC in Corvallis, OR: Prayer Vigil is a drop-in affair, with the Sanctuary open from 5:30 pm until approximately 9 pm. (Weds, April 27), with a devotion and suggested prayers available, as well as candles for lighting and a card for Beth to be signed.
